How long do sessions go for?

Initial assessment sessions can last up to 90 minutes. Following this, most sessions are approximately 50 minutes long.

How many sessions will I need?

The number of sessions will depend on the problems you are facing and what your goals for therapy are. We can discuss this during your initial assessment and agree on a treatment plan.

What are your rates?

An initial assessment session may take up to 90mins and is $285.00. Subsequent sessions or treatment sessions are $190.00 and are up to 50mins. An invoice will be sent to you prior to the appointment and should be paid within 48 hours of the appointment.

You may also be eligible for a subsidy if you have private medical insurance, or through MSD if you fulfill income threshold requirements. ACC provide funding for assessment and therapy for victims of sexual harm. For more information please see their website here or enquire with myself about the process. I can support you to make a claim.

Do I need a specialist referral?

No, I accept referrals from third parties and medical professionals, as well as self-referrals. Please feel free to contact me via email or phone/text through the contact page. If you are unable to reach me immediately, please leave a message and I will get back to you as soon as I am available.

What is a Clinical Psychologist?

Clinical Psychologists are registered health professionals who specialise in assessment, diagnosis, and psychological treatment of mental, emotional, and behavioural disorders. They have advanced knowledge about how people’s thoughts, beliefs, emotions, actions, and culture effect their day to day lives. Most Clinical Psychologists have studied at University for 6-8 years and continue to train and upskill throughout the course of their careers.

Are sessions confidential?

Yes, anything we discuss in sessions will be kept private and confidential. However, exceptions to this include situations where there is a serious risk of harm to you or another person, or if I am required by law to disclose information.

What is your cancellation policy?

Due to the high demand for psychology services, all booked appointments require 48 hours for cancellations. For appointments cancelled between 24 – 48 hours, a 50% fee is charged. For appointments cancelled (or not attended) with less than 24 hours notice, the full fee is charged. This is a result of therapist preparation, as well as the client waiting list.
